It's been a big point of discussion and contention since the election last year and this week Congress has spoken. The landmark FCC Broadband Privacy rules were passed last year set to go into effect in December of this year but this will keep that from happening. Critics of the rules have said that they are unnecessary and place too many restrictions on business. Proponents say it prevents companies from spying on their customers and selling private information to the highest bidder.
