Some of the biggest names in Technology got together to urge President Trump not to withdraw the Untied States from the Paris Climate Accord.  In 2015 almost 200 countries signed the agreement to reduce carbon emissions and to work to fight global warming.  Since the United States burns so much energy the effects on the climate could increase more rapidly than estimated. Another concern is that if the US drops out other countries may follow.  Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and a close advisor to Trump, has stepped down from several advisory council seats. Executives from huge companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and many others have reached out to Trump directly and issued official statements against this decision.  All have said that staying involved in the fight against global warming is important not only for the future of our planet but also the future of a vital economy and thriving technology industry.
